Mike Astringer founded Human Capital Consultants, Inc. after years of working with client companies who he felt did not have effective recruiting and human capital strategies in place. Michael says "I spent years watching companies who I felt were the best in their verticals fail to attract and retain top talent because they did not fully understand the effect of human capital acquisition and strategic planning. I decided to form Human Capital Consultants to partner with those firms and help them attract and retain top talent and effectively put long term human capital strategic planning in place."
Mike Astringer founded Human Capital Consultants in 2005. Mike is a Recruitment and Human Capital Strategy Consultant with 17 years of experience serving clients across the United States. Mike's expertise includes the development, deployment, and management of recruiting functions, processes, strategies, and projects as well as hands on full lifecycle recruitment and candidate sourcing. Mike specializes in providing consulting services to growing entrepreneurial, start-up, and mid-market firms. Mike actively participates on customer engagements as both a Consultant and Project Manager managing delivery and implementation teams.
Previous to founding Human Capital Consultants Mike was Founder of Las Vegas based Information Technology Associates, a leading provider of IT Staff Augmentation and Contingency Recruitment Services.
Mike loves being an entrepreneur and working with other entrepreneurs. In addition to his work with Human Capital Consultants he serves as an advisor to a Pittsburgh based startup The Resumator and is co-host of a weekly Podcast for entrepreneurs Hireku. Mike maintains a blog site where he discusses entrepreneurial and human capital issues and is about to launch a new Podcast for jobseekers, Career Radio Podcast.
Mike believes strongly in giving back to the community and has served in several board and volunteer roles for organizations such as Junior Achievement, United Way, Nevada Development Authority, State of New Jersey Workforce Development Board, United States Power Squadrons and other business and service organizations.
When not consulting on client engagements Mike enjoys spending time with his family, boating, and travel. Mike and his family specifically enjoy traveling on their boat "Bello Viaggio" (Beautiful Journey).
